Apparently yesterday at school, the boy ended up going into the classroom with some of the older kids for a bit.  A teacher in his room needed to leave the room and in order to maintain ratios a child would have to visit the other classroom.  The teachers asked another kid if he would mind and he started to cry at the thought of going to the other classroom.  Cale was then asked and he said he would go.  So he went over and had some fun with the older kids, doing some different activities like sorting shoes by colors/size/gender/etc.

The reason this is so cool is because Cale was willing to go into another room with a bunch of strangers and wasn’t afraid to do so.  Heck, most adults don’t want to go into another room with a bunch of strangers, let alone a four year old.  Just goes to reinforce what one of his new teachers said the other day about Cale being more socially skilled than others in his class.  It is really cool to me, ’cause I know he can handle himself with those kids in terms of social/cognitive/physical abilities despite them being older.
